
Intro
Melbourne born, and bred, with 27 years practising as a Medical Practitioner, 24 of which have been dedicated to her chosen field of General Practice, Belinda is an approachable, pragmatic and experienced GP who has had the privilege of caring for many thousands of patients across Victoria and beyond. She considers each and every encounter a small window into the intimate lives of her patients who she recognises as putting faith and trust into this unique patient / GP relationship. She is an empathetic, clear communicator and great listener who prides herself on the generational relationships she has built with her patients and their families over many years. She is passionate about providing her patients with choice across all health and treatment matters and working collaboratively with them to achieve the very best health outcomes.
Outside of work, Belinda loves to travel with her husband Rob and 2 teenage children to far flung destinations, the more off the beaten track the better. She is a fluent French speaker, and GP to many of Melbourne’s French speaking community, cycles and walks regularly for exercise, LOVES gardening, and is a passionate greenie who does her best to minimise her ecological footprint.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduating with honours from Monash University in 1996, her early training years were based at The Alfred Hospital, after which Belinda went on to complete her fellowship with The Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2001. During these early years of GP training, she rotated through many of Melbourne’s major teaching hospitals, including The Royal Children’s Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, The Western Hospital and various country and regional rotations, such as at Bairnsdale Hospital, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Since completing her GP Fellowship, she has worked continuously as a Melbourne based GP in a handful of practices, mostly at Airlie Women’s Clinic where she has consulted continuously between 2005-2024.

Interests
She enjoys the full breadth of General Practice with a particular interest in women’s, and children’s health, sexual and reproductive health, recognising that a family’s health is often contingent upon the health and happiness of the woman.




A keen learner, Belinda has continued to extend her knowledge and skills across various niche areas of General Practice over the past 2 decades. She is certified in addiction medicine, has honed her skills and training in mental health, travel health, and has trained and is experienced to provide Implanon and IUD insertion as contraceptive options. She is an antenatal care affiliate, registered to provide shared antenatal care with most of Melbourne’s major public hospitals.As one of the earlier GP adopters of medical termination of pregnancy, she is passionate about providing supportive and non-judgemental access and choice to women.
As an accredited GP supervisor with the RACGP, she enjoys supporting and teaching GP registrars and newer fellows in developing their skills and professional network as they settle into independent General Practice. She is a keen advocate for clinical collaboration and facilitates in-house continuing professional development amongst her colleagues.
